Free Logo Makers
Which logo makers a startup can design a logo with for free today, what you can actually download free (a low-resolution image, a high-resolution or vector file), whether a card is needed and what the first paid package costs, read from each maker's own page.
Free allowances read on each provider's own pages, all checked on or after . Logo makers change what they give away free from time to time: confirm the terms on the maker's page before you put the logo on your product.
Logo makers a startup can use for free today include Namecheap Logo Maker (Unlimited AI logo designs, free), Shopify Logo Maker (Completely free logo maker), Wix Logo Maker (Logo at no cost, free plan), LogoMakr (Design and preview logos free), and Logo.com (Design and download free). Each of the 10 free options below links to the maker's page that states it, with its main limit, what you can download free, whether a card is needed and what the first paid package costs.
A new company needs a logo for its site, its social profiles and its pitch deck long before it can pay a designer. AI logo makers generate options from your company name in seconds, and logo editors let you build one from templates.
The headline rarely tells you how far it goes. Many makers let you design for free but charge for the high-resolution or vector file, or watermark the free preview. Each maker below shows what is free, its main limit, what you can download free, whether a card is needed and what the first paid package costs, quoted from the maker's own page with the date we read it.
Which makers we picked and the order they appear in are our editorial choices; the terms are the providers'. Some of these providers pay us a referral commission when someone signs up through our link: those links are labeled, and they play no part in which makers are listed or where.

How this comparison is built
The list covers logo makers a founder can use for free today without applying to a program. The order and the "best for" notes are our editorial reading of each maker's terms. Every term comes from the maker's own pricing or help page on the date shown, never from a third-party list; follow each link for the full conditions. Many logo makers let you design for free but charge for the high-resolution or vector file, so the comparison quotes what each one lets you download free. Some of these makers pay StartupPerks a referral commission, and their links are labeled as referral links; that decides neither whether nor where a maker appears, and no maker pays for a placement on this page.
