AI & ML Credits for Startups

Eligibility varies by program. Some are open to almost any startup: NVIDIA Inception has no funding requirement and admits companies at any stage. Others gate on stage, funding, or a partner relationship. Most programs use an application form on the provider's own site, then issue credits into the account used for their API or cloud console once approved. A few are redeemed through a cloud marketplace or an accelerator's perk portal rather than directly. In every case the credit lands on the provider's platform, not as cash, so set up the account the product will actually run on before applying.

The credits are grants, not loans, and are not repaid. They are not cash, though: each allowance only offsets spend on that provider's own service, whether that is Anthropic API usage, NVIDIA compute, or inference on Together AI or fal. The value is realized only if the startup would have used that platform anyway. Read the terms for what a credit can and cannot be applied to before counting it toward runway.

Two recur. First, many credits are new-customer-only, so an existing paying account can be disqualified from the largest offers. Second, credits expire, often within 6 to 12 months of issue, and any unused balance is forfeited, so a grant is worth only what gets consumed inside the window.
