Does Apple Ads give new advertisers a free credit?
Yes, for ads on the App Store. When you first set up an Apple Ads account, Apple says “we automatically give you a $100 (U.S.) credit to try it for free”, and it shows at the top of the Billing page once you add a payment method.
The credit is a one-time new account credit. Apple's promo credit terms describe credits as offers Apple may provide “from time to time and at its discretion”.

Who qualifies for the Apple Ads promo credit?
App developers. Apple's help page says the one-time new account credit is for a “developer and registered account holder on App Store Connect” with “at least one app available for sale on the App Store” in a country or region where Apple Ads runs, and you must link your Apple Ads account to App Store Connect to receive it.
Link your top-level account: if you link a campaign group instead, Apple says the credit is not applied. If your account uses a currency other than US dollars, “the new account credit is converted to the currency you set in your account” at Apple's daily exchange rate.

Is there an Apple Ads promo code or coupon?
Apple's help page describes no code to enter: the credit is given automatically to eligible new accounts, and you check it on the Billing page. Apple's promo credit terms say offers are “non-transferable, not for resale” and cannot be redeemed for cash or other value.
The Maps credit works the same way: once you meet the requirements, “the promotional credit will be automatically added to” your brand's account.

Is there a separate credit for ads on Apple Maps?
Yes, and it is larger. Apple's credit page says “Each eligible brand will receive a one-time $150 USD promotional credit” for ads on Maps, which are available only in the United States and Canada. You sign up your organization for Apple Business, add a valid credit card and start an ads on Maps campaign.
Agencies, and advertisers paying by line of credit, are not eligible. The credit is applied toward the first month's ad spend, and “Any unused credit will roll over and remain available for future ads on Maps spend.”
Apple also ran a Grand Opening Promo that returned 15% of monthly spend as credit, but only for brands that started a campaign “on or before October 11, 2026”, so it is closed to new advertisers.

How do I see my Apple Ads credit, and does it expire?
In Account Settings open the Billing tab: the Promo Credit section below your payment method shows the date of the last credit, and an invoice shows how much of it was used. Apple's help page states no expiry date for the App Store credit, and its terms say an offer “may expire on a specific date or after a specific period of time, as specified by Apple”.
Apple puts the monitoring on you: “Apple may not always notify You when an Offer is issued, exhausted, or expired.” Anything above the credit is charged to your payment method, and credits cannot be applied to taxes or other fees.

Which payment methods does Apple Ads accept for the credit?
Apple Ads takes credit and debit cards from Visa, Mastercard (including Apple Card) and American Express, and UPI for payments in Indian rupees. Its help page says “Invalid forms of payment include pre-paid cards, gift cards”, and a campaign does not run until the account has a valid payment method, which is also when the App Store credit appears.
If a charge is declined, Apple says it “will attempt to charge the same payment method again within 24 hours of the declined transaction” and may pause your ads until it succeeds. For the Maps credit the payment method must be a credit card, because advertisers paying by line of credit are not eligible.
